Plexibond peels off
ROOFGARD dislodged Plexibond from the No.1 spot following a 69-52 win at the end of the elimination round of the 1st United Architects Basketball Club (UABC) tournament last Sunday at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
Roofgard showed dominance at the board by out-rebounding the opponent, 45-33, and forced a quadruple tie at the top with 3-2 win-loss slates.
Genaro Bejo was a monster in both offense and defense as he scored a game high 28 points on top of a team-high 15 rebounds and four assists.
Dear Pacman: Go hard on the punching bags, easy on the hoops. Glenn Osorio who also had a stellar performance notched 16 points and 11 boards to frustrate the 20 points, 17 rebounds of Chriz Matunog and the 18 points, 12 rebounds of Ian Osmeña.
Decore, on the other hand, logged its third straight victory with a 73-66 win over Skimkote.
Elmer Laguna topscored for Decore with 20 points, while Klein Baladya scored the game-high 24 points for the losing Skimkote.
Acrytex also pulled an 84-57 win over Permacote in the other game.
Roofgard, Plexibond, Acrytex and Decore finished the elimination round with identical 3-2 win-loss card, while Skimkote placed fifth with 2-3 card and Permacote is at the bottom with 1-4 slate.
Roofgard topped the quotient 1.1241, Plexibond at second with 0.9886, Acrytex is at third with 0.9753 and Decore placed
fourth with 0.9306.
Roofgard and Plexibond will enjoy the twice-to-beat incentive over Decore and Acrytex respectively.
