THE metro is getting smaller every day. Local artists are running out of ideas. And exhibit venues have centered around malls.
It’s high time we have an upgrade. Art should be made accessible to a larger audience. Now that were in the age of computers, the next best step would be for local Cebuano artists to invade the internet.
Thanks to a concerned expatriate artist, we will soon be surfing up. Painter Dave Wommack is offering his services for free to maintain an on-line gallery.
All he needs is for artists to submit photos of their art works. The call is open to all interested parties, artists and designers.
Wommack plans to integrate the many fields of art and design. So, aside from showcasing the visual arts of painting and sculpture, he will also include photography, furniture and jewelry. he site will also be a venue to market the works.
Those interested may send their portfolios to dwommack@gma12.com.
Hoping to see our paintings on the net very soon and we’re grateful someone is taking the time to organize and do us a favor. Thanks man!
