NEC managers finish 3 courses

SINCE June of 2006, 15 supervisors and managers of NEC Cebu have been sent to trainings and seminars and have already completed three modules of the Advance Project Management Course conducted by PMI.

Once completed, this course will prepare the employees to take the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Examination that will lead to the PMP accreditation for the employees of NEC.

The PMP Program supports the global community of Project Management Professionals and is designed to objectively assess and measure professional knowledge in project management.

The employees, being the most significant resource, NEC Telecom software invests on developing their human resource to equip them with inputs on international standards in professionalism.

“We want to equip our people with the right skills that is why the company spends for their training and development,” Gina Alonso, NEC Cebu’s senior manager for human resource and general affairs.

“This is a continuing training of our staff and the company continues to invest on further developing their people because it is with them that we will be able to achieve our goals, mission and vision and the organization’s success,” she added.

To achieve a PMP certification, candidates must satisfy all educational and experiential requirements established by PMI and must demonstrate an acceptable and valid level of understanding and knowledge of project management that is tested by the PMP Certification Examination.

In addition, those who have been granted the PMP credential (certificants) must demonstrate ongoing professional commitment to the field of project management by satisfying PMI’s Continuing Certification Requirements Program.
