Magic Creams discovers new talents in nationwide contest

THE Jack ‘n Jill Magic Creams Combo Street Art Contest uncovered more talents as the competition went nationwide, encouraging children from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao to hone and showcase their creativity.

Armed with colored chalks and artistic imagination, hundreds of children ages nine to 12 gathered to render their interpretations of the theme “Ganado’t may talento ang batang Magic Creams Combo.” Working in pairs, the kids eagerly created their masterpieces amid overwhelming supporters and spectators from their respective barangays. Just like the contest’s theme, the participants were obviously “ganado” and thrilled as their creations took shape.

The nationwide edition of the street art competition kicked off with four events held in Brgy. Tatalon in Quezon City, Brgy. 576 Zone 56 in the City of Manila, Brgy. Maderan in Cavite, and Brgy. Balibago in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Moving further down south, the artistic showcase continued in Brgys. Poblacion and C. Rosario in Batangas, and in Brgys.

Ibabang Dupay and Dalahican in Lucena City, while up in North Luzon, the kids from Brgys. Pulong Buhangin and Poblacion in Bulacan, and Brgys. Parian and Santiago in Pampanga also displayed their inherent skills with enthusiasm.

In the Visayas region, two more barangays in the Queen City of the South, Cebu, played host to the Magic Creams Combo street art competition– Brgys.
Guadalupe and Lahug–while Brgys. Estanzuela and San Juan in Iloilo City gathered an equally impressive number of talented participants.

Finally, Davao and Cagayan de Oro in Mindanao also took part in the nationwide contest, with kids coming from Brgys. Sto. Domingo and Buhangin in Davao City, and Zone 5 and Lapasan in Cagayan De Oro City.

The nationwide Magic Creams Combo Street Art Contest turned the streets of participating barangays into colorful canvasses of children’s artwork. Three young artists from each participating barangay were declared winners and were given special gift packs from Magic Creams Combo, the unique cracker sandwich filled with rich, sweet chocolate or peanut butter.

Magic Creams Combo, hopes that through this worthwhile activity, youngsters are able to build their confidence, and learn to express themselves via a creative medium.
