Speak out: Social Weather Station survey
By Illo V. Cardosa
Malabuyoc, Cebu

THE Social Weather Station recently conducted a survey on the leading contenders for the highest office of the land come 2010 elections.

Although the aspirants have signified to run, it is not proper at this time to place them in the limelight. There are still others who are interested in the presidency.

If the Social Weather Station’s purpose is for public consumption, it is too early to conduct the survey. This would only tend to influence the electorate about elections and politics at a time our country is struggling with economic problems.

As a result the senators who were picked by the survey will now start to consolidate their political stronghold for the 2010 polls instead of rendering the needed services for the country and people.
