Wednesday, September 19, 2007 Youngs Academy’s teambuilding workshop
WITH the vision to provide international language education in the country, the administration, teachers and staff of Youngs Academy Philippines underwent a two-day Teambuilding Workshop in Carcar City last Aug.25-26.
Over 30 participants participated the workshops in teaching styles, teamwork, organizational techniques and self-improvement aside from the obstacle courses that developed their camaraderie.
Young Kim, president of the Youngs Academy Philippines and Korea, flew in from Korea to join the activity. A believer of customer satisfaction by providing quality service, Kim was intent to train the staff and teachers in providing the best education to students in an international environment.
“We are trying to implement a certain globalization of our academic standards yet at the same time a localization of some of its services and offerings,” Kim said. He explained that though most of the students are Koreans, the school has also opened its doors to the locals, who would like to learn Korean and Spanish, which are requirements for better job opportunities abroad. There are also IELTS review classes for Filipinos planning to work abroad and for immigration purposes.
Kim explained that the courses and services in Youngs Academy are offered to those who are willing to learn in an international and multi-cultural environment in Cebu. He also believes that each student in the academy has the right to have a quality education through its teachers, facilities and curriculum but this is only possible if all work towards a common goal as one team.
Youngs Academy is a multi-national Korean company specializing in preparing students to succeed in the IELTS exam.
They also offer Korean, Spanish, Speech, GRE/TOEFL and GMAT.
