Friday, September 21, 2007 Body care center to open branch in Cebu, foresees good market
GROWTH in Cebu’s beauty, health and wellness industry has prompted Manila-based Forever Flawless Face and Body Center to open an outlet here.
Forever Flawless Face and Body Center, which has catered to several celebrities in Manila, will open a branch at the SM City Cebu Northwing this November. It would be the company’s first outlet in Cebu.
Forever Flawless public relations manager Francis Albert Labora said non-evasive treatments, or those that do not involve incision, are fast becoming a trend in the Philippine skin care sector, especially among the younger generations.
“People are now starting to realize that being beautiful is not a luxury,” he said, adding that there is growing market in Cebu for skin care clinics.
Forever Flawless in Cebu will occupy 123 square meters at SM City’s expansion building, which is still under construction. It would be the company’s second largest branch in the country next to SM Megamall, which occupies 162 square meters, houses 12 beds and four private rooms.
Booming industry
In an interview, Labora said Cebu has been identified by the company to be a potential market for skin and medical treatments, mainly because of the province’s booming service industry.
He said he is optimistic about capturing a good market among young professionals in Cebu since Forever Flawless offers reasonable prices.
Apart from face and body treatments like the basic facials, bleaching and waxing, Forever Flawless’ medical treatments include pimple injection, electrocautery, mesotherapy, sclerotherapy, whitening and anti-aging injectibles, and skin peeling among others.
Prices range from P300 to P800 for face and body treatments.
Forever Flawless started to venture into the Visayas market with the opening of its SM Iloilo City branch last July.
“We want to perfect our services first in Manila before (coming) to Cebu,” said Labora.
The company, which was established six years ago, is composed of licensed medical experts led by Dr. Michelle Cruz. It also has, among others, Dr. Vicky Belo of the famous Belo Medical Group as consultant.
“Our Cebu outlet will have Cebu staff and certified local doctors,” said Labora.
The centers’ celebrity endorsers include Lorna To-lentino, Judy Ann Santos, Yasmien Kurdi, Nina Jose and actor Mark Herras. It currently has 17 branches but Labora said the company is targeting to open five more before the year ends.
The company plans to open 15 branches in 2008 when it ventures into franchising, Labora said.
In its thrust to become a global figure, Forever Flawless plans to open an outlet in SM Xiamen in China next year. (MMM)
