Pacquiao:I write my own columns

EVER since he battered Marco Antonio Barrera in 11 rounds to vault to world boxing’s elite, nobody has doubted Manny Pacquiao’s skills in the ring.

However, ever since Pacquiao dabbled in column writing, many have questioned his skill with the pen, or even whether the boxer himself is writing the columns himself.

“Nakailang labas na ako ng kolum, pero mayroon pa ring hindi naniniwala na ako mismo ang nagsusulat. ...takot akong magsinungaling, alam ng nasa Itaas na ako talaga ang nag-iisip ng mga isinusulat ko. Kaya sana, wag naman pong pagdudahan na hindi ako ang nagsusulat,” Pacquiao said in his column at a Manila tabloid that was also posted at Philboxing.com. (This column has already come out several times but there are still those who do not believe that I myself am writing this. The Lord knows that I wrote this so please don’t doubt what I have written.)

Correction

Pacquiao started writing columns in the last two weeks and in one of his articles, he corrected a report that came out in a national daily blaming him for delaying a flight to the US.

In his latest column, he expressed his sadness for the death of his former trainer and also clarified rumors that he will back out of the fight.

“I want to clear up what came out in the papers that the Oct. 6 fight will not push through. That is not true and I was shocked with the news that came out because I am here in Cebu, concentrating on my training for the fight,” Pacquiao wrote in Filipino. (ML)
