Hair to make you feel good
By Jenara Regis Newman

HAIR care is all about making one feel and look good. And this is what Francis Lee of Bridges aims to do.

A Singaporean, Francis says he came to cebu “by accident.” A friend had invited him to have a look-see at the place and he liked what he saw. He says, “I could see a lot of opportunity in the area.”

When he came in 1999, it was for a construction business but, it was not what he wanted. So he went back to what he really loves to do, hairdressing. He opened Bridges in Park Place in 2000 and moved four years ago to the third floor of JY Square. A few months back he made another move, this time to the second floor, still at JY Square. The new location is “more modern, more accessible and more comfortable.”

A L’Oreal professionnel artistic ambassador, Francis normally does hair by asking his clients what they want to do with their hair. If they say it’s up to him, then that’s when his creativeness and professionalism come in. He is consistent, persistent with his craft, and updated in the latest trends and in the knowledge of products. All this is to assure that he makes his clients happy, and make them look beautiful and confident.

Francis is happily settled in Cebu not just with his craft but, with his wife and two children. When he has time, he says he just wants to be with them as he is at work seven days a week usually from ten in the morning to nine at night. He has a staff of 13, though, that makes it possible for him to work if he chooses to and take time off for badminton or, for workout at the gym to keep himself healthy and fit…and better able to make his clients look, and feel beautiful and good.
