Abrenica whips SCSIT in Talisay
ABRENICA Engineering scored another win after stomping the youthful Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology Skyblazers, 84-78, in the Open Division of the 2007 Talisay City Mayor’s Cup Basketball tournament at the Talisay City gym last Sunday.
Jessie Lumantas made the middle his playground as the former Southwestern University Cobra scored 29 points to lead all scorers.
Meanwhile, Tabunok 2 defeated Pooc, 80-67, in the Seniors’ Division, while Tanke defeated Lawaan 1, 71-65, in the SK Division.
During last Friday’s action, Cansojong scored a 105-67 drubbing of Poblacion 2 in the seniors’ division and Tanke won 62-57 over Tabunok in the SK category.
Last Saturday Taunok senior squad defeated Lawaan 3 90-75 while Poblacion won by default over Lawaan 1 in the SK division.
