Prima boys take top spot in Garcia Cup

PRIMA Lactopafi Boys collared the overall plum of the 3rd Gov. Gwen Garcia Bowling Tournament last Sunday at the SM Bowling Center.

The team, led by 2006 Youth Bowler of the Year Jomar Jumapao, knocked 4,551 pins in the six-game series to nail the title.

Jumapao was joined by Jericho Jumapao, Jake Yap, all of Sacred Heart School-Jesuit, John Gasataya and Michael Miranda, where they overpowered women’s teams.

Prima Lactopafi won by a considerable margin over eventual second placer Salve Regia Ladies of Inday de Gracia, Tess Regino, Mila Ang and Nancy Gonzales. The all-ladies team finished the match with 4,381 pinfalls.

At third place is JCKC Ladies of Rose Camero, Jeanette Cabiasa, Salce Tesio and Cynthia Uybengkee with 4,351 pinfalls. San Jose Merchandising Ladies of Cynthia Kua, Nicnic Keegan, Chrsitine Tecson and Baby Bacon make up the top five winners.

Meanwhile, the Prima Lactopafi Ladies team of Alexis Sy, Kim Lao and Misha and Micha Co bagged the Special Ladies Team title winning over Bola International and Timex Ladies. Bola is made up of Charly Bontia, Ruby Aoyama, Merlyn Oka and Almera Gould, while Timex bannered by Lydia Urbano, Venessa Casquejo, Imelda dela Cerna, Liza Codina and Anabelle Susas.

Winning the team special award is San Jose Merchandising Men’s team of Boy Kua, Rey Velarde, Ronan Barredo and Charlie Ozaraga. (MCB)
