Courier jailed for shabu

A 32-YEAR-OLD man from Alurang, Misamis Occidental was sentenced to life imprisonment for selling 7.52 grams of shabu.

Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Meinrado Paredes also fined Nick L. Gumapak P500,000.

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 7 arrested Gumapak in a buy-bust on Nov. 18, 2005 in Poblacion, Naga, Cebu.

He allegedly sold two medium packs of shabu weighing 7.52 grams to a team led by Senior Insp. Richard Caballero.

Gumapak told the court that a woman named Arlene asked him to get a sealed package from a department store and to deliver it to Naga. (KNT)
