Speak out: Those unreliable surveys
By Illo V. Cardosa
Malabuyoc, Cebu

LAST July 18-20, 2007, the Social Weather Station (SWS) was commissioned by the opposition to conduct a survey in Manila on whether President Arroyo was involved in corrupt acts.

The result of the survey showed that 71 percent of the 600 respondents said the President was enriching herself through corruption.

In as much has the survey was commissioned by the opposition, naturally the SWS will give the president an unfavorable percentage.

Was the survey reliable?

No one in his or her right mind would believe that the survey was accurate and credible.

The SWS should have observed delicadeza and should not have succumbed to the whims of the opposition.
