Sports writer I am not, but we just couldn't resist mentioning the smashing PAL (Philairlines) Intersports, the country’s biggest, top corporate sports fest. Now on its 30th year, with the Los Jefes De Cebu as host, the event reeled off with no less than Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia, as opening rites guest.
As usual, our good friend, PAL senior assistant VP Domingo Duerme, took the reins as tournament chairman with his entourage of PAL celebrities.
We had a fabulous sampling of PAL hospitality and flamboyance at the fellowship cocktails at the Casino Español de Cebu where wines and spirits flowed like the proverbial river. To top the evening’s fun and camaraderie, a trio of Manila’s classy entertainers, “took it away.”

Speaking of other types of stage activities, our friend, Susan Montecillo, whose prowess on the dancefloor never fails to amaze us, gave us the info that the recent national and international finals of the International Dancesport Federation (IDSF) Open Dancesport Championship was held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino.
She was ecstatic at garnering a semi-final slot with her partners, which is not bad for a first timer!
