2 on bike shoot bank messenger

A BANK messenger was shot in the head by two men on a motorcycle along Good Shepherd road in Sitio Banawa, Guadalupe, Cebu City last Wednesday night.

A team of homicide investigators led by SPO4 Alex Dacua identified the victim as Christopher L. Agusto, 33, who resides in the area. He was taken to the Cebu Doctors’ University Hospital for an injury in the left temple.

Dacua said that Agusto was still under observation as of yesterday morning.

Initial information gathered by Dacua’s team revealed Agusto was on his way home from work on board his service motorcycle when the perpetrators blocked his way.

The attackers were riding a 125 Black Baja Kawasaki motorcycle with no license plate.

The passenger shot Agusto “at close range,” hitting him in the left portion of his head.

The assailants then fled toward the neighboring Barangay Labangon.

Dacua said they are still investigating who the attackers were and what could have motivated the assault. (JST)
