Vegetarian food fair, cooking demo

HEALTH is wealth. There is nothing more important in life than good health; physical, mental, and spiritual, that is. For what can possessions, technology, fat bank accounts, even family and friendships do when you have a failing health and are about to loose your dear life due to life threatening diseases.

Recent medical findings show that coronary artery diseases (heart attacks and stroke) rank number one in fatality rate throughout the world surpassing all forms of mortality combined. Cancer ranks second. Heart diseases, cancer, and other illnesses such as diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis, etc., are directly attributed to the consumption of animal flesh.

Due to health, economic, environmental and ethical reasons, an increasing number of people are taking a keen interest in vegetarianism. More and more are becoming convinced of this great health advantage of a high fiber, low cholesterol, and sustainable vegetarian diet.

It is in this connection that La! Veggie Society is once again presenting a vegetarian food fair come Oct. 27, Saturday (lunch at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.) to give the public an opportunity to experience the healthy, mouth-watering, and energy giving benefits of a vegetarian diet.

The all-vegetarian menu, such as caldereta, sweet and sour, barbecue, and many more are what you can savor at the food fair. The venue is located at corner 3rd St., Guadalajara Vill., Guadalupe, Cebu City.

A “Vegetarian Cooking Demonstration” will also be one of the highlights of the food fair. Pre-registration for the cooking demo is needed due to its limited 25 slots.

For details and ticket reservations, one may call Christine or Jai at 256-8362 / 0905-2230190 / 0922-4061649.
