Tuesday, October 23, 2007 Espina: Women legends By Mila C. Espina In my diary
CEBU is looking forward to the fashion-musicale diorama, with a little bit of spoof, titled Women Legends this coming November at the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel Cebu. It is a project conceptualized by the Zonta Cebu I last June, and is now in the thick of preparations. It is a fund-raising show for its livelihood and day care projects in Budlaan and Ermita.
The presentation is a fun-filled delineation of great women in history, mythology, literature and the performing arts and show business, fact or fiction, who have created an impact in humanity. From Eve to Eva Peron; from Delilah or Salome to Marilyn Monroe—name it all!
Zontians and their friends will have cocktails first, then a one hour and a half delightful showcase of costumes, songs and dances from the Garden of Eden to this age of IT and what-have-you embedded in high-tech miracles. All for a worthy cause, Consul Armi Garcia, Lorna Quisumbing, Amparito Lhuillier, Honey Loop, Nelia Neri, Mayen Tan, Tess Chan, Baby Schaap, Julie Gandionco, Alice Woolbright, Cely Chiongbian, Mariter Klepp, Connie Cimafranca, Chabeng Garcia, Aida Uy, Joy Benedicto, Stella Bernabe, Matt Baguia, Angeles Antigua, Tina Ebrada, Melanie Ng, the University of San Jose-R performers and the Dancesports group, among others, will enhance their theatric ingénue and entertain the guests con mucho gusto.
A glorious birthday
