For its 10th anniversary celebration, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) staged a nationwide park conservation campaign. The first leg was held at Rizal Park in Manila with the planting of flowering plants, and the donation of Rizal Park vicinity maps and waste receptacles.

The Cebu affair took place at Fuente Osmeña. IPC donated ornamental plants and planter pots, as well as environmental markers with relevant messages.

In his brief remarks, IPC president Keiji Takeda expressed: “...If we paid homage to Dr. Jose Rizal at the Luneta, here we are paying tribute to Cebu’s own President Sergio Osmeña Sr.” On his part, IPC vice president for corporate business Arthur Balmadrid explained that by "helping conserve an important landmark, the greening of the Fuente Osmeña Park is our way of giving back to the Cebuanos.”

Isuzu Philippines has a strong presence in Cebu, thanks to the leadership of general manager Antonio Pineda and his team of achievers.

In recognition of the company’s contributions to Fuente Osmeña Park, Mayor Tomas Osmeña presented a certificate of appreciation to IPC. Program highlights included the ceremonial planting of flowering plants, the symbolic release of butterflies, and a repertoire of heritage dances from Diwa Sugbu of the Cebu Normal University.
