Students grab prizes in contests

THE Sugboanong Komen-taristang Nagpakabana (Sukna) Inc. held an extemporaneous speaking and essay writing contest at the Cordova Sports Complex recently.

The contest was sponsored by Sukna, former Cordova mayor Arleigh Sitoy, the Municipality of Cordova and Kaliwat Magazine.

The winners (for extemporaneous speaking-college level) were Jennelyn Inoc for first place, Robertson Pacaldo for second place and Christian Awa for third place.

For the high school category, Suzette Yballe won the first prize, Ma. Teresa Obregon the second prize and Jerome Dinal the third prize.

Winners (for essay writing-college level) were Relaine Ann Anoza, Rachel Tabaco and Maike Fritz Ligan.

Judges

For the high school category, the winners were Jennelyn Tajanlangit, Mera Flor Ordaneza and Liezl Alerta.

The judges were Rogelio Pono, Col. Alexander Aba-dinas, Pete Abangan, Art Abregonde and Chris Gabrillo.
