Talk back: Survey, the 3V’s
By Ogie Reyes

(THIS letter is addressed to Sun.Star columnist Nini B. Cabaero)

Good commentary (in your Oct. 28 column, “What Survey?”). You're right. Whatever is done in haste makes a lot of misses.

Although a month ago, the Social Weather Station (SWS) did come up with a result of a survey with 48 percent favoring pardon if former president Joseph Estrada is convicted, 38 percent saying yes, but later and 13 percent No.

I'm sure you didn't miss this one as the result appeared in Sun.Star.

This, however, was before the conviction and wasn't what Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Sergio Apostol was referring to.

Even so, with this survey we can make out that 38 percent plus 13 percent or 51 percent didn't want Erap to be pardoned right away or no pardon at all.

We must remember also that a lot of those surveyed will have second thoughts on their responses once the conviction is out.

The Apostol survey would have shown this. It probably did because he never came out with the results.

Representatives of the people---Ricardo Cardinal Vidal, Senate President Manny Villar and House Speaker Jose de Venecia. Trifle V's.

Smells to mall goers like representing foods; 3Vs serving or praising foods to Her Excellency.
