Computer center opens in Naga

AN organization of Naganians based in the United States opened a community-based training center in South Poblacion, City of Naga recently.

The Youth Computer Center is a project of the Cebu Naganian Association of USA Inc. in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) 7.

The association is a non-profit public benefit corporation organized under the non-profit benefit corporation law to provide charitable and educational assistance to the public through programs and activities.

The group officers are Chris de Gracia Tan Chan (president), Jumbie Pansoy (1st vice president), Edulcina O. Kilb (2nd vice president), Elizabeth Bolante Veloso (secretary), Bennie C. Medicielo (assistant secretary), Rosa del Mar (treasurer), Gail Ladia (auditor), Sonia Mabalatan and Cleo Abellana (press relation officers), Edward P. Lapitan and Vic Torino (peace officers).

The organization’s board of directors are Flora Badayos Albo (chairman), Paul Aviles, Liza Bartido, Jose “Jojo” Bolaño, Gelly Cabuntala, Mario Cruda, Manolita Medalle, Robert Moniz, Renato Ortiz, Laling Vidal, Gene Villareal and Milan Villarico.

Beneficiaries

The poor, underprivileged but intellectually capable high school graduates will be given priority for admission to the program.

Application forms are available at the Tesda Minglanilla Training Center in Minglanilla, Cebu.

A training director will screen the applicants.

Classes will start as soon as the Tesda requirements are complied with.
