THE Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) was on centerstage during the 33rd Philippine Business Conference at the Manila Hotel for once again claiming the honor of being the Most Outstanding Chamber in the Philippines (its third consecutive award). In fact, this year’s feat has elevated CCCI to the Hall of Fame. The award is the result of CCCI’s exemplary performance as a model business support organization and its accomplishments in the areas of implementation of an advocacy program, partnership with government, growth of membership base, trade and investment promotion, sponsorship of local outreach and community development programs.
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo conferred the award to CCCI represented by its president Francis Monera together with members of the board of trustees Prudencio Gesta, Samson Tiu, Benjamin Avila, Michael Basubas, Ed Limtingco, Clarito Fruelda, Jose Ng and external affairs official representative Felix Taguiam.
A celebration was definitely in order and it came a week or so later with a dinner party at Laguna Garden.
