Wednesday, November 28, 2007 New show: Born to be wild
IN response to Mother Nature’s call for help, GMA Public Affairs has hatched a production effort that attempts to bring environmental issues closer to home via Born to be Wild.
The show aims to broaden social awareness and involvement via the artistic use of media. This has valuable information worthy of airtime.
Entirely devoted to environmental and wildlife conservation, the show is the first of its kind on Philippine television.
In its premiere episode, the show takes you on a wild encounter like no other. Away from the bustling city, mountaineer Romi Garduce explores a remote mountain town in Calatrava, Negros where he camps out and lives with wild Macaque monkeys.
Farther down south in Palawan’s Calauit Island, veterinarian Ferdinand Recio discovers a curious Philippine safari of sorts. Catch the first, amazing wildlife encounter on Born To be Wild, airing on Nov. 28 after Saksi.
