‘Women for women’ fashion show for a cause
THE Junior Chamber International-Zugbuana will present the biggest event in Cebu, the “Women For Women ‘07” (W4W) fashion show on Nov. 30 at the Arctic Hall of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.
W4W features Cebu’s most influential women wearing the creations of the country’s top fashion designers, all united to raise awareness and support for underprivileged women with cancer.
This year’s project is to raise funds for the Kahayag Network of Cancer Support Groups. It aims to spread cancer awareness and promote positive change through inspiring testimonials from survivors.
The show is a celebration of femininity, beauty, talent and style with a heart.
Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia leads the women who will walk the runway, along with (in alphabetical order): Iris Arcenas, Dr. Cecilia Bernad, Dr. Chinky Calderon, Sarah Cortes, Elizabeth Go, Eleanor Hayco, Tessie Javier, Amparito Lhuillier, Elvira Luym, Svetlana Osmena, Allen Pages, Luisa Robinson, June Ugarte and Mariquita Yeung.
Featured designers include Jackie Climaco, Jun Escario, Arcy Gayatin, Oj Hofer, Philip Rodriguez, Cary Santiago, and Kate Torralba, as well as noted fashion brands Loalde and Orange Juice. Fashion choreographer Jackie Aquino will direct the show, and make the event seamless and sophisticated.
