‘Pasko’ to promote Fuente

SOME 18 establishments, 18 barangays and 23 schools are expected to make this year’s Pasko sa Sugbo successful, especially with their participation in various organized activities.

Pasko sa Sugbo, which will start on Dec. 1, will showcase talents in the arts through socio-cultural presentations, inter-barangay band competition, and decoration contest.

The University of Southern Philippines Foundation will start the series of two-hour cultural presentations on Dec. 2 at the Fuente Osmeña oval.

vulgar

The Cebu City Government said the presentations must not be vulgar, indecent, or immoral and performers should not show too much skin.

Tourist spot

City Councilor Eduardo Rama said the event will also help identify the Fuente oval as one of the tourist spots that should be visited, especially this Christmas season.

For the inter-barangay band competition, City Councilor Gerardo Carillo said the participants must be recommended by the barangay they represent.

An elimination round will be held on Dec. 14 while the grand final selection of the winner, who will bring home P20,000, will be done on Dec. 23. (NRC)
