Easy, shopping lifestyle
By Jenara Regis Newman

A CHANGE in pace is the easy living and shopping lifestyle that is Paseo Arcenas., the only shopping complex in this part of south Cebu. Located along Duterte Drive, Paseo Arcenas has a wide entrance street from the main road; this is also the access road to the Arcenas Estate, one of the locators of which is the call center company, Convergys.

Opened a year ago and a half ago, it has the feel of a small town center which, to the estate, it actually is. Not just for shopping, but also for relaxing at any of the food outlets. Anchor store is Rustan’s supermarket. Other outlets include Jollibee, open 24 hours; Starbucks, open until 2 a.m.; Bop Bernie’s Bistro and La Marea, both open till midnight; Red Moon, Rai Rai Ken, Chains Boutique, David’s Salon, Sawadee Spa, and Da Vinci’s Pizza. On occasional weekend nights, there would be an acoustics band playing in the premises.

Being part of a big subdivision, Paseo Arcenas has the advantage of having a large free-parking area plus another space beside Convergys which it converts into a setting for big events, like the Holloween night it hosted last October. In the spirit of the season, this space will be covered with a large tent for a Christmas bazaar, with over a hundred locators.

The bazaar, for the convenience of working people who must add Christmas shopping to their agenda for the day, will be open from 3 p.m. up to 12 midnight from Dec.10-23. Shopping here promises to be fun and leisurely. See you there.
