Speak out: Christmas food
By Ritchie D. Nolasco
Banilad, Cebu City

IT is tragic that food poisoning struck our good province.

Early this year, food served by a caterer made several people sick during the Asean Summit.

Now we have someone selling toxic puffer fish and another one serving poor kids with pancit---both making people ill.

It's timely that these tragedies happened as Christmas Day nears.

Christmas is a season for celebration and in our culture part of it involves eating lots of food.

May I suggest that health officials and food catering inspectors take a closer look at meals being offered on the tables all over the province?

This way, we can avoid cases of food poisoning and people will feel safer.
