Saturday, December 15, 2007 Go: Setting the standard By Charlene Go Lakwatsa
SOME of the things we can be recognized for and be proud of are the world-class talents who originate from the Philippines.
From sports to fashion, to music and entertainment, Filipinos have made a name for themselves as individuals who excel in the different fields that they are in. They have become intently sought-after because of their passion and commitment.
Local E, an electronica group composed of disc jockey’s and producers, released their second album together with Nokia 5310 Xpress music at Club Vudu. It was an exciting night as singer Girl Valencia and Jun Lopito performed live, making it a one-of-a-kind event since rarely do we experience electronic music performed right before our very eyes. Filipinos are setting the standard in the music scene worldwide.
Speaking of setting a standard, Club FU sets the standard in Cagayan de Oro City (CDO). Last weekend, Cebuano partygoers and the Zugbuana Jaycees were spotted at the opening of the hottest club in CDO, the FU. After a month long transformation, FU Reborn opened its doors to everybody that knows how to have a good time. The party was made even hotter with one of the Philippines’ top DJs, Elmer Dado.
