Speak out: What Christmas is about

CHRISTMAS is just around the corner.
This being about the birth of the child Jesus, the savior of mankind, this is a big celebration.
But the celebration should not focus on what we will receive.
Let us put those poor brothers and sisters in our hearts.
We should celebrate Christmas by giving love, not just giving stuff to others.
There’s a massive economic breakdown, thus Christmas won’t be as merry as before.
But this celebration does not depend on the state of our economy.
Christmas is beyond the monetary; it is deep felt within our souls.
Let us stop complaining if we fail to get fat bonuses this Christmas.
Bonus is not the measure of having a happy Christmas.
Christmas is making amends and spreading the gospel of love so that the dove of peace will soar high in the sky.
