Saturday, December 22, 2007 Garbo sa Sugbo bazaar to feature students’ wares
PRODUCTS of businesses established by students of the CIE High School for Entrepreneurship, Science and I.T., to help low income families improve their lives, will be exhibited and sold in the “Garbo sa Sugbo” bazaar, which begins today at the 3rd Floor of One Mango Avenue on Gen Maxilom Ave., Cebu City.
The Garbo sa Sugbo bazaar will run from until Dec. 31 and will be open from 3 p.m. to 12 midnight.
Featured are Savon, with its herbal soaps; Papeterie, which manufactures paper products such as memo pads, albums and notebooks; The Funk Junction, which makes youth-oriented bags; and Ar Saudavel, which makes fragrances from colognes to air dispersal scents.
These enterprises are part of the Centre for International Education’s Gift of Gold program in which the students run a business with a beneficiary family as a means to help liberate the family from poverty.
Those who need to do some last-minute Christmas or New Year’s shopping, or even prepare for gifts for the Sinulog festivities or Valentine’s Day may visit the booths at the Garbo sa Sugbo. (PR)
