Capitol workers get 1-month pay bonus

AS Christmas bonus, all employees of the Provincial Government will receive at least P12,000 each.

Also, the famous dancing inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) will get P1,000 each as bonuses for the pride they have brought to Cebu for their dances.

Just recently, the Thriller video of the dancing provincial inmates ranked five in the Top 10 most viewed videos in YouTube.

During the Founding anniversary of the Province, the inmates also received P1,000 each as bonus after their video became well-known in YouTube.

During Capitol’s Christmas party yesterday, Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia announced that all employees will receive a bonus equivalent to one month salary.

Those who are earning less than P12,000 will receive P12,000 while those who are earning more than P12,000 a month will receive the higher amount.

Incentives

Garcia also announced the best performing district hospitals and their employees will get additional incentives.

The best performing hospital is the Bogo District Hospital and its employees will received P5,000 each.

Danao District Hospital followed and the employees will get P4,000; Lapu-lapu District Hospital (P3,000); Oslob District Hospital (P2,000) and Camotes and Balamban District Hospitals in the fifth place (P1,000).

After the program yesterday afternoon, the Provincial Board (PB) immediately held a special session to pass a supplemental budget for the bonuses.

Supplemental

The PB passed a supplemental budget that totaled P27,291 million.

PB Member Wenceslao Gakit who chaired the committee on budget said only PB members Victor Maambong, Alfie Ouano and Ramon Martin Calderon failed to attend the special session yesterday.

Gakit said the bonuses will be released next week. (MBG)
