Saturday, December 22, 2007 UC faces elimination today
STILL winless, the University of Cebu (UC) will try to grab its first victory at 1 p.m. Today as they face University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) and escape being eliminated from the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) tournament.
The crucial game will be played at the University of San Carlos Technological Center football field. If UC loses to USPF, they will automatically be eliminated from the tournament. UC’s Daryl Tan will serve a day’s suspension due to his red card in last week’s game.
In the second game, it will be a battle of former champions as the undefeated University of the Visayas (UV) will face off with University of San Jose-Recoletos. UV is in the top spot right now after winning all of their games in this tournament. (EKA)
