VISTA Land Development Corp. (VLDC), the real estate development company of Sen. Manuel Villar, is planning more real estate projects for Cebu this year.
Villar said VLDC aims to be a major player in the real estate industry in Cebu by acquiring more properties for future developments.
He said the company, the umbrella organization of other real estate development firms that include Crown Communities which operates Camella Homes, will venture into project developments in Cebu, including houses and lots, and high-rise condominiums.
Villar, in an interview with the press, expressed his optimism in Cebu’s growing real estate industry. He said the company is going to acquire more properties in the province in line with its “aggressive” investment plan for more real estate projects here.
“We are going to be more aggressive in Cebu now,” he said.
Other than residential projects, VLDC is planning to construct commercial and shopping complexes, as well as resorts.
Villar said VLDC is eyeing Mactan for a resort project. At present, the company has yet to finalize plans for the resort project, though.
In 2007, VLDC launched 10 new projects nationwide. Villar said the company is going to double the number this year.
He said VLDC will be launching residential, commercial and leisure facilities in different areas in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, particularly in the cities of Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Iloilo, Cebu, Bacolod, General Santos and Tacloban.
Camella Homes and Communities is one of the brands developed by real estate developer Crown Communities.
Among the projects under the Camella Homes and Communities brand are Riverdale Mountain Resort, Camella Residences (a single-story home development) and Vittoria, an exclusive enclave of 100 homes with classy two-story houses.
Camella Residences and Vittoria are located in Lapu-Lapu City. (MMM)
