Friday, January 11, 2008 Honda Cebu and Makati reap awards at the 11th National Technician Contest
HONDA Cars Makati, Inc. (HCMI) and Honda Cars Cebu, Inc. (HCCI) scored impressive victories by winning seven of the nine top awards in the 11th National Technician Contest held last Nov. 18 at Honda Cars Pampanga.
HCMI and HCCI received top awards in the three major categories, besting more than 40 participants from 17 Honda car dealers in the country.
Honda Cars Cagayan De Oro representative, Romie Padrones championed in the Conventional Category with Norman Gallardo (from Honda Cars Mandaue) and Erolesly Galindo (from Honda Cars Alabang) as first and second runners-up, respectively.
In the Service Advisor Category, Honda Cars Pasig delegate Ramil Cledera grabbed the championship title and Honda Cars Alabang’s Noel Vanguardia was the first runner-up.
Honda Cars Pasig’s team, Wilson Mayani and Jun Eleda, were the champions in the Quick Pair Maintenance Category and the duo from Honda Cars Shaw, Romy Orogo and Jovencio Purio, won first runner-up. The HCMI and HCCI representatives have rigorously trained in preparation for this event.
The National Technician Contest is an event organized by Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. every two years and noted as the premier competition among Honda dealers’ service technicians and advisors. The contest aims to enhance customer satisfaction through excellent workmanship, efficient diagnostic and repair skills, customer handling skills and serves as a venue to promote camaraderie among Honda dealerships.
