Friday, January 11, 2008 Speak out: ‘Don’t steal’ stickers By Erny ‘Pretty Boy’ Elizondo
I HAVE distributed stickers bearing the above line, for the simple reason that corruption has become a culture in our Christian country today.
In fact, we are sort of “summa cum laude” in Asia along the line of corruption.
To make matters worse, every time there is an act of corruption, especially in the highest echelon of our government, there are always “denial kings” and “denial queens” who continue to fool the common tao, as if these officials are rulers of this country and not servants that they are supposed to be in our democracy.
Bribery has become the order of the day in this country. Blackmail has been employed in order to silence legitimate whistleblowers.
Threats to life and limb have been employed if only to hide the truth.
Indeed, in the field of stealing people’s money, government hates competition, since it wants to do it “solo.” Period.
