Wednesday, January 16, 2008 Coral Golf tees off today; car at stake
Now on its 27th year, the Coral Invitational tournament has attracted some 412 participants.
The event, which will run until Jan. 19, will be played by pairs as a team.
The tournament is a 36-hole modified Stable-ford competition among two-men team, each composed of a Cebu Country Club member and a guest partner playing for two days of 18 holes each day.
There is also a seniors division for a team with a combined age of 120-years.
The winners will be determined through its number of accumulated points after 36 holes.
The team that will have the lowest gross will be declared overall champion. The other top-five finishers will also receive prizes.
This year, a brand new Suzuki car is at stake for the hole-in-one.
Golf equipment from Wilson Staff, Maruman, Nike Golf and Callaway Golf are at stake in the raffles, which will be in the Calcutta and Raffles on Thursday as well as on the final day. (RCM)
