ANOTHER challenger emerges to seek what is sought by many—a shot at Filipino ring idol Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.
After an easy seventh round stoppage win over Roinet Caballero in Jakarta Indonesia last Saturday, World Boxing Association featherweight title holder Chris “The Dragon” John immediately challenged Pacquiao to fight him next after his battle with World Boxing Council super featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez on March 15 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
John has an unscathed professional career record with 41 wins 0 losses and 1 draw with 22 wins by knockout and has already defeated Pacquiao’s opponent Marquez in 2006 via unanimous decision.
“I have already beaten Marquez and I will be too quick for Pacquiao,” said.Chris John in a report posted at sportsnut.com.au.
Meanwhile, Pacquiao has been looking good in his training at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood and hit the mitts for 11 rounds with Freddie Roach yesterday. Roach thinks that Pacquiao is hitting the mitts the hardest ever in his career. (EKA)
