UC ready for Prisaa defense

THE University of Cebu Table Tennis team, which will represent Cebu City in the coming Regional Private Schools Athletic Association meet on Feb. 8-10, is ready to defend its title.

UC coach Jessica Honoridez said yesterday that despite of their great chance of defending their title, they are still preparing hard for the meet and will not be taking their opponents lightly.

The team is composed of three-time national Prisaa Most Valuable Player Michael Motel, brothers James and John Conrad Impuesto, Glendo Nayre and Jonathan Jacalan.

Honoridez says their toughest opponents will be those from Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental and the best players from Bohol in the regional meet.

The multi-titled coach said her team has never lost in any competition since they joined the regional meet in 1998.

Honoridez was named best coach three times in the National Prisaa after her team won the gland slam title last year in Iloilo City. (NSM)
