SAP Philippines, the local subsidiary of SAP AG, recently announced that Berovan Marketing Inc., a growing pharmaceutical retail company distributing medical and dental supplies nationwide, has adopted SAP’s flagship solution for small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), SAPk Business One.
The Cebu-based distribution organization affiliated with top drugstore Rose Pharmacy is currently using the solution to assist its bid to aggressively expand its operations in the country.
The company’s top management recognized the need to automate critical processes and generate real-time consolidated reports to be able to monitor business operations.
Before migrating its business applications to SAP, Berovan used BMIPOS, a DOS-based system that was unable to generate consolidated reports that reflected all branch-level transactions. The same system was also prone to corrupting, rendering the company’s inventory records highly unreliable.
The problem-prone system constantly needed attention, checking and validation among Berovan employees, resulting in wasted time and duplication of work.
With the implementation of SAP Business One at Berovan Marketing, the company is now able to generate reports on time and respond to customer inquiries, given real-time information on inventory across the firm’s different offices.
Accuracy
The integration of SAP technology has also assured accuracy and reliability in every facet of Berovan’s operations.
In implementing and customizing SAP Business One, Berovan chose to work with ABM Computech Enterprises Inc., a SAP Philippines–accredited distribution partner, due to the latter’s strong presence in Cebu.
Berovan representatives were pleased with the partnership with ABM Computech, saying that consultants from ABM were present through every step in the project, from implementation to the adjustment period.
ABM was also able to develop easy-to-integrate software for Berovan to streamline company finan-cials based on the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s requirements that center on value-added tax and expanded withholding tax reporting.
“SAP Business One is the best-fit enterprise solution for the company,” said Gretchen Francisco, ABM Computech marketing officer. “The system’s ease of use is a real advantage. (PR)
