Friday, February 01, 2008 DSWD sets up desks on adoption
IN the observance of “Adoption Consciousness Day,” the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 7 will set up adoption desks in the cities of Cebu, Tagbilaran and Dumaguete.
In Cebu City, the desk will be set up in SM City Cebu and Ayala Center Cebu on Feb. 2 to 9.
Activities
Aside from putting up the desk, the DSWD 7 has also lined up other activities like radio guesting, release of publication, hanging of streamers, holding an open house in child-caring institutions and the conduct of an “Adoption Forum” for government workers on Feb. 20.
DSWD 7 has also written advocacy letters to all local governments to ask for support in the recruitment of prospective adoptive applicants.
