ANOTHER upcoming star in the country’s boxing firmament Ciso “El Terrible” Morales is up against his most challenge so far tonight when he battles against Indonesian Marangin Marbun at the Mindanao Civic Center in Tubod, Lanao del Norte.
In this fight, Morales (9-0, 6 KOs) and Marbun (11-3, 5 KOs) will vie for the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Asia Pacific and the WBO Oriental super bantamweight division titles.
In yesterday’s official weigh-in, which was witnessed by WBO vice president for Asia Pacific Leon Panincillo, both boxers registered at 122 lbs.
The fight will be aired over IBC 13 this Sunday at 9 p.m.
This fight is crucial for Morales who aims for the bigger cards.
He is set to fight undercard in the coming rematch between Manny Pacquiao and World Boxing Council (WBC) super featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez this March 15 at the Mandalay Bay Resorts and Casino in Las Vegas. (ESL of Superbalita)
