2nd Wrocklage in USC

THE Cebu Scrabble Club will be staging its 2nd Wrocklage Rated Scrabble Tournament at the Wrocklage Yard of the University of San Carlos Main campus this Saturday.

RP’s No. 2 and last December’s national scrabble champion Teodoro Martus Jr. of the University of the Visayas and RP No. 3 and Wrocklage defending champion Renante dela Cerna are expected to join the tournament after their confirmation yesterday.

Last year’s Wrocklage champion and RP No. 8 Joel Toroy and his brother Jose Marte Toroy, who won the scrabble open final leg last year, will put a good fight against Cebu’s top two scrabble players.

Also seeing action in this 8-round straight King-of-the-Hill one-day tourney will be the national, local, tertiary and secondary campaigners from UV led by the triumvirate of Michael Laput, Gerson Anticamara, and Jowar Ayuno.

Players from USC, CIT, Don Bosco and other national players are likewise expected to participate.

Registration is pegged at P150 for the professional players and P50 for the students. Play starts at 8:30 a.m. while players are requested to bring their own scrabble sets and chess clocks. (NSM)
