Girl raped while walking home

A FIFTEEN-year-old girl coming home from a fiesta dance was choked and then raped in Medellin town Wednesday dawn.

Jennifer (real name withheld), pointed to Patricio “Jun-jun” Booc Jr. as the one who grabbed her and dragged her to a sugar cane plantation.

Jennifer had gone with her friends to Sitio Navarra Barangay Canhabagat, which was celebrating its annual fiesta and holding a benefit dance.

At 1 a.m., she decided to go home to Sitio Mahayahay, a coastal barangay some eight kilometers away from the town proper.

As she was walking alone, Booc allegedly crept up to her and told her to go with him.

When she refused, Boog allegedly held her hands together and placed one hand around her neck.

As she got weak, she was pulled to where there were sugar cane plants and raped.

A team led by SPO2 Alfredo Limalima was dispatched to the area following Jennifer’s call for help.

They conducted a hot pursuit operation but Booc remained elusive.

Senior Insp. Januario Sario, Medellin Police Chief, said they received word that Booc already fled for Cebu City.

One of Booc’s aunts reportedly gave him money and sent him clothes.

Sario said it would be difficult to trace Booc’s wherabouts as there were many places to hide in the city.

As for Jennifer, she was brought to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for examination.

Sario said they were now preparing charges against Booc. (MEA)
