Man hits vendor with gun muzzle in Bry. Carreta

AN AMBULANT vendor suffered bruises and cuts in his forehead after a former neighbor hit him with a muzzle of a gun.

Myco C. Rafols, 27, who sells bottled mineral water along New Imus Road in Barangay Lorega, Cebu City, was treated at the Cebu City Medical Center.

In an interview with a team of Homicide Section investigators led by SPO1 Jay Yballe, Rafols identified his attacker as Jun-Jun Flores, a former neighbor in Lorega.

Rafols now resides on M.J. Cuenco Ave., Tejero.

Rafols said he was walking along the street trying to find customers when Flores arrived and shot him.

The gun, however, malfunctioned, giving Rafols the opportunity to grapple for the firearm.

Rafols and Flores wrestled for possession of the firearm. In the process, one bullet went off hitting the road.

Out of fear, Rafols lost his grip on the gun.

Flores then used the firearm to hit Rafols in the forehead several times before leaving.

Rafols told Yballe’s team he didn’t know why Flores tried to kill him.

They were even friends, Rafols told Yballe. (JST)
