GERONIMO ROSAS, found guilty of grave misconduct for “anomalous release” of two detained Iranians in 2004. (Sun.Star File) AN EXPLOSION inside a coal mine in a mountain barangay of Argao, Cebu killed two miners. Victims Avelino Pantojan and Sonny Alberca suffered third-degree burns. The incident took place around 6 p.m. Sunday in Barangay Linut-od. Their bodies weren’t pulled out until 2 a.m. Monday because the other miners didn’t want to enter the site to avoid inhaling hazardous gases. [full story]
