Football groups elections on March 15

BEFORE the scheduled Cebu Football Association (FA) elections on March 29, there will be a registration teams, clubs and schools and the nomination of candidates on March 15 at Bright Academy.

On that day at 1:30 p.m., the teams, which were eligible vote for this year’s Cebu FA election deemed are mandated to pay P500 and will cast a list of candidates who they think is fit for the position as board members of the Cebu FA.

In the recent meeting last Saturday between the ad hoc committee and the Cebu FA board, the latter agreed with the criteria for elections formulated by the ad hoc committee and will be using this criteria this coming March 29 at Bright Academy.

For a member to be able to vote, one must be a Cebu FA member in the past two years and must have actively played in Cebu FA-sanctioned tournaments in both years as a Cebu FA member. Associate and honorary members are not allowed to vote in this election.

The partial list of 44 members passed by the ad hoc committee will get 7 more members to ad hoc committee Richard Montayre of the Cebu Amateur Football Club.

“When we presented the list of teams to the board they said that some teams were missing. Jonathan Maximo will add the additional teams this week to make the list final before the registration,” Montayre told Sun.Star Cebu yesterday. (EKA)
