Quijada: She shops
By Jadis Quijada
Shout out

WOMEN have the extra license to hit the malls as March gigs are dedicated to the shopping-craze females. An opportunity for you to see fine fashion up close is the fashion show tonight featuring the works by international Cebuano sensation, Cary Santiago. Starting at 6 p.m., the program at Paseo Solana (Ayala Expansion Bldg.) will cap off with Vernie Varga’s performance.

This month, it’s all about us girls.

In celebration of the World Women’s Day, Shoppers can try their luck with “A Woman Deserves” promo in Ayala Center Cebu. Beginning March 5, a P2000 accumulated receipt from any mall outlet purchase or a single receipt from Metro or Rustan’s Supermarket redeems a raffle coupon and entitles you to win a spa package from Shangrila’s CHI Spa, a Jewelry set and a Kate Spade bag. There are two raffle draws during the promo period. One on March 12 and the other will be on the culmination on March 19.

TRAVEL MATES

Beach-ready. With the Holy Week two weeks away, you might be hitting summer spots soon. It’s a cool idea to look around for summer pieces you can bring with you in your touristy adventures. Try the fresh batch of swimwear displayed in July and the nice cotton pieces from Kamiseta.

Luggage lessons. And if you’re not the backpacking type, lovely trolleys make a perfect travel mate. Japanese animation fanatics like myself, can head to the candy store of colorful luggage pieces, Gift Gate, and select from their amusing variety which will surely make you a standout at any airport. If you’re bringing your techie stuff, take with you a hard shell luggage. Otherwise for other non-fragile stuff, you can go for the cloth-shell versions which are also sturdier.
