PSC chairman to grace SAC awarding
PHILIPPINE Sports Commission chairman William “Butch” Ramirez and PBA star Dondon Hontiveros will be the honored guests in the annual Sportswriters Association of Cebu-San Miguel Corporation All-Cebu Sports Awards night on March 8 at Laguna Garden Restaurant.
This will be the second time for Ramirez, a Cebuano from Davao who took over the PSC post from Eric Buhain in January 2005, to attend the SAC awards. He will induct the organization’s new set of officers.
Hontiveros, a true-blooded Cebuano who plays for Magnolia in the PBA, will be the awards night’s guest speaker.
“With Dondon’s experience as a top-level player in the PBA and with the wealth of Ramirez’ wisdom as the country’s premier sports leader, this Saturday’s 26th SAC awarding is definitely a must-attend affair,” said outgoing SAC president and Cebu Daily News sports editor Rick C. Gabuya.
