Friday, March 14, 2008 Cebu faces tougher softball open field
CEBU will be facing a tougher competition this year as they seek to retain its title in the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (Asa-Phil) organized 2008 National Softball Open in Lipa City, Batangas in the second week of May.
Cebuano RP Blu Boys coach Zacharias “Saki” Bacarisas told Sun.Star Cebu yesterday that everything has been in order for the annual tournament and it will be a very tough competition for the Cebuanos who are eyeing to keep the title.
“Everything is in place already in Lipa City for the National Open and it will be a tough contest for Cebu,” Bacarisas said.
Last year, Saki, his siblings and nephews, along with selected Cebuano sluggers, formed the H & B Softball squad that won the title for the first time in years.
And with almost the same composition, the same team is hoping to keep the title this year. (RCM)
