CFA elections

THE long overdue Cebu Football Association elections is almost becoming a done deal because today, the 44 members of Cebu FA will be registering their respective team, club or school and will be nominating their candidates at the Bright Academy for the upcoming March 29 elections.

The Cebu FA board with the ad hoc committee will facilitate the registration and nomination of candidates and will start entertaining the members at 1:30 p.m.

Cebu FA members included in the list of 44 will bring P500 along with them and a name or names that they deem fit for the position to be a Cebu FA board member.

The 44 members that are eligible to vote for this year’s Cebu FA elections was formulated by the seven members of the ad hoc committee headed by Richard Montayre of Cebu Amateur Football Club and was approved by the board last March 1.

The criteria used by the ad hoc committee was that one must be a Cebu FA member in the past two years and must have actively played in Cebu FA-sanctioned tournaments in both years as a Cebu FA member. Associate and honorary members are not allowed to vote in this election. EKA
